Progress to next major update


Hello!

I have been very busy this week preparing for a major update that should hopefully be ready soon.

I have been fixing bugs, polishing code and environments and last but not least working on the save and load system and getting it all to work nicely with multiplayer!


The core focus of my work has been on the save system itself which took a lot longer than I expected since I ran into some technical and brain issues regarding it, but its all settled and working as intended now (I think) which is great because this opens up the ability for me to add larger more sprawling maps and level streaming without resetting the players progress to zero each time they die.

I have decided to go with the good ol'fashion typewriter for no reason other than a lack of imagination I guess haha.


I have also added more menus and system related to this (i.e being able to reload last save point from the in-game menu).

Also on the list of things I have been working on is what I am calling the "Tip system" which is basically just a pop up on the screen to let players know about different things like why you can't interact with a door or what you just picked up from the floor as seen below.


Anyway I think that's mostly it for now so just enjoy some more screenshots I guess :D
